Balusters are the decorative vertical members of a balustrade system. All of our ornamental iron balusters offer an extensive assortment of popular styles in various square and round sizes ranging from ½” up to ¾”. They are constructed from “mild” steel, making them very durable and much stronger than wrought iron versions. Each and every baluster is handmade, which means no two are exactly alike—the slight variations in the details add exceptional character to any stairway. Our iron balusters are available in hollow designs, with a few available in solid construction, and these six powder-coated finishes: low sheen black, matte nickel, oil rubbed bronze, oil rubbed copper, antique bronze, and silver vein. Contempo Collection
The Contempo Collection adds another dimension to our ornamental iron baluster selection. It was developed to compliment more modern designs in the home. Available in either a low sheen black or matte nickel finish, these iron balusters come in four different styles: straight line, rectangular vertical feature, oblong vertical feature and ladder design. They couple perfectly the warmth of a wooden handrail, or the cool look of iron newel posts.
“These Contempo balusters have completely modernized our home, giving our stairway a fresh, custom look,” says Roth. “The contrast of the black against our light wood stair treads really sets it off in our home.”
This collection can be incorporated into multiple home designs. The striking appeal of the designs are all comfortable in contemporary, retro, modern and craftsman settings in homes and commercial locations.
